Data Usage Policy

The context of this document is to define how data from your websites is used by JS Monitor.

I. Information we receive from your website
When you place your JS Monitor Code Snippet across your site, JS Monitor receives information about your site in order to determine track load time and JavaScript error performance. Information captured includes:

  • Browser and Version
  • Page URL
  • Detailed Load Time Information
  • Detailed Error Information

This is used for reporting features.

JS Monitor also has counters used to track clients’ JS Monitor usage over time for billing and engagement measurements. Thus JS Monitor sees aggregate client traffic levels.

II. How we use information we receive
JS Monitor uses this data for aggregating a client’s performance metrics for reporting and alerting functions.

JS Monitor may also use aggregate data across clients for

  • Informing future product features
  • Internal operations including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research
  • Service improvement

Client data is held in the strictest of confidence; it won’t be shared without anonymizing and aggregating unless there is explicit written permission from client.

III. Security and bugs
We invest heavily to keep your information secure and our service bug-free. If there is a suspected or known breach or error that compromises any client data security, we may trigger mandatory password resets and will invoke our client communication plan.

V. Notice of Changes
If we make changes to this Data Use Policy we will post publicly here (JSMonitor.io/data-usage-policy). If the changes are material, we will provide you additional, prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances.
